Our story

We create joyful, vibrant events that bring people together—whether it’s heritage festivals, youth events, or a birthday party with face painting and cake!

With a background in cultural and community programming, I've worked for brilliant organisations like the National Trust and Kirkby Stephen Sports and Social Club.

Our events range from cosy artist talks to full-on festival days with live music, guided walks, Ceilidhs, quizzes, and youth club nights. We’ve hosted harpists by the lake, and delivered creative community workshops linked to gallery refits and new exhibitions, and to help develop culutral confidence.

We also run hands-on artist workshops, craft magical event programmes, and throw the kind of parties people talk about for weeks. Everything we do is designed in close collaboration with you—whether you want to grow your audience, bring in more income, or just have a really good time.

Our history

Big Mood Events was born from a love of bringing people together through creative, meaningful, and joy-filled experiences. With roots in cultural programming and community events, we’ve grown from delivering local workshops to shaping large-scale festivals in the North.

Our journey began with projects for organisations like the National Trust and Kirkby Stephen Sports and Social Club, where we honed our skills in curating everything from intimate talks to lively family days.

Over the years, we’ve hosted harpists overlooking Lake Grasmere, thrown youth discos and quizzes, led community focused art workshops.

And because we believe celebration comes in all shapes and sizes, we also plan brilliant birthday parties, paint faces with flair, run hands-on artist workshops, and design bespoke event programmes for every kind of gathering.

From lauch parties to glitter-filled club nights, our history is built on creativity, collaboration, and a big mood energy that makes every event unforgettable.
